IMEX- The essential worldwide exhibition for meetings, incentive travel and events is being held in Frankfurt from May 26-28 2009. The trail-blazing exhibition has unleashed the energy of the global meetings industry with new ideas, new vision and a passion for business amongst record numbers of exhibitors. IMEX 2008 saw a record total of over 8700 buyers from almost 100 countries attending the show – including over 3600 hosted buyers from 58 countries- and meeting with over 3500 exhibitors from 150 countries. IMEX is streets ahead in attracting global buyers with real spending power to your stand.

Indian participation in IMEX has been growing for the last few years. A number of top Indian companies and convention centers have been taking space independently as well as under the India pavilion.

In 6 short years, IMEX is now the premier trade show for destinations worldwide. A great feedback on the show from exhibitors and buyers alike has been received and IMEX will continue to expand horizons in 2009. Over 3500 exhibitors will be attending IMEX 2009.

IMEX is committed to delivering more long-haul hosted buyers to the show, while building on the strong presence of European buyers, the main focus for 2009 is to target US and Asian buyers. The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (USA) have already confirmed they will be bringing a group for the first time. Other targeted areas are Eastern Europe and, of course, the rest of Europe including Germany where IMEX is already working with the GCB to expand extensive marketing campaigns and deliver yet more buyers from the thriving outbound German market.
